The Best Times to Visit

Dubai is hot! I know-uh. During the “winter months” associated with us, the temperature was low, from highs in the 1980s to lows in the 1960s. This is from November to March. Based on these temperatures, this is the peak tourist season in Dubai, so if you plan to travel to Dubai during this time, expect it to be more crowded and the prices will be higher. However, in the summer months from June to August, the average temperature is as high as 105 degrees!

The Best Places to Stay

Dubai has no shortage of hotels, especially luxury hotels. You can also check rental sites such as Airbnb. As far as the best location is concerned, you should first think of Dubai as a long strip. If you have been to Las Vegas or Cancun, I will compare it to Las Vegas or Cancun. We have been driving back and forth on the same main road.

The most central location, and therefore the most crowded, is around the Dubai Mall, which is where the Burj Khalifa is located. At the other end is Dubai Marina, nearby Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab Hotel. At the opposite end of this “belt” are Dubai Airport and Old Dubai with its souks. Most of the area along this strip is Jumeirah Beach, which is full of beach resorts, shops and restaurants. Depending on your interests, you may prefer to be closer to one of these landmarks.

Getting Around Dubai

Visit Dubai Just like any major city and tourist area, the traffic in Dubai is very busy. There is also rush hour traffic. You should know that the working week in Dubai is from Sunday to Thursday. Their weekends are Friday and Saturday. This affects the time it takes for the car/taxi to travel from one location to another. The traffic on weekends is much lighter.

What to wear in Dubai

This is a source of stress for many people traveling to the United Arab Emirates, especially those who want to travel to Dubai as a female. I found this article very helpful before traveling. Basically, tourists and foreigners wear ordinary clothes. The only time I wore traditional headscarves and robes was when I visited the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Food and Wine

The food is fresh and delicious! Dubai is famous for its multicultural cuisine, and almost anything you want to eat can be found here. I am very happy to try authentic Middle Eastern dishes. While having brunch at Saffron in Atlantis Resort, I noticed that the food in Dubai is heavily influenced by Asia (including India).

Since this is a Muslim area, don’t expect to find pork in restaurants. However, there are a lot of seafood, lamb, beef and chicken. Popular dishes include shawarma (sliced ​​meat like kebabs), hummus, curry dishes, basmati rice and marinated whole fish (I had whole sea bass and fillets when I was in Dubai). Dates are also very popular. There are many kinds of them, and you will find date palm markets and high-end date palm shops in shopping malls. Try some Arabic coffee. Tourists can drink in Dubai’s licensed hotels, bars and restaurants. The refrigerators in our hotel are well stocked! However, you are not allowed to drink alcohol in public places, including on the beach.

Top of Burj Khalifa

Although crowded, it runs well. However, I was not impressed by the view from the top. Of course, it was a bit hazy that day, but most of what we saw were nearby skyscrapers and deserts. Atlantis, the Palm

Speaking of Atlantis, if you have seen photos of Palm Jumeirah, you will notice the Atlantis Resort at the end. Although I have been to Atlantis in the Bahamas, after staring at this man-made island for many years, I knew I had to visit this island and resort. We took the monorail to Atlantis in order to see the islands that make up Palm Island. That part is pretty cool. Be that as it may, Atlantis was a gigantic hotel/resort with individuals all over. There were security watches making sure that sightseers did not enter zones for the visitors and it took until the end of time to discover Saffron.

The Dubai Fountains

The Dubai Wellsprings are found at the Dubai Shopping center. They were planned by the same designers of the wellsprings at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. We held up 30 minutes in a hot swarm to observe 3 minutes of the wellspring appear. It was fast and not as expanded as I had envisioned. I was baffled. I have been told it depends on the length and sort of the tune.
